Advanced Open Water Diver

Advanced Open Water Diver Certification can be pursued any time after completion of your Open Water Diver Certification. AOWD is a popular option for those joining Ames Scuba on a dive trip, but can also be completed locally, typically within one weekend. The course teaches you several advanced skills (Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation) and introduces you to selected PADI Specialties as 'Adventure Dives' over the course of five open water dives. Each Adventure Dive credits toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course if you choose to later pursue specialty certification.

Pricing

The AOWD course costs $290 plus tax (class minimum of four students) and includes the PADI eLearning, a course packet, and five open water dives (entrance fees and transportation not included). You must bring (or purchase) your own set of mask, fins, snorkel, and boots, submersible surface marker and whistle for the course. Other equipment is available for rent or purchase as well.
